Name:
Location: Oceanside, CA, United States

You could describe me with the 5 C's: ~Christian,Conservative, Compassionate, Capitalist, Constitutionalist. I am a broken man, in more ways than one; I am a sinner and beg for forgiveness daily, and I, somewhat like Paul, have a thorn in my side (2 Cor 12:7), it reminds me daily that I must ask for God's grace, mercy and strength.

Psalms 13:5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

13:6 I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Today's verses calm my restless heart. I am joyful for God's mercy. Sing out in praise! I am filled by the Holy Spirit when I can praise Him. I am not much of one to carry a tune, yet it matters not to Him. The Lord has given me plenty to be thankful for!

Praises, and blessings! Have a great weekend!

Lauren Update

Continue your prayers for the Legge family, I pray that Lauren will get to go home today.

Lauren is still in the hospital. She's been in Vanderbilt since last
Wednesday. But, yesterday afternoon she had surgery and the docs replaced
the permanent IV line in her chest. She is resting comfortably, though
her oxygen levels seem to be low since the surgery last night. She is
going to recieve two units of blood this morning and when her red cell
levels rise they are hoping her oxygen levels will, too. Pray they do. We
are hopeful that she will be allowed to go home either this afternoon or
in the morning. It's been a long 1-1/2 weeks for her (and for Tammy and
Reese).

Psalmist Begs the help of God

Psalms 12:5
"For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise," says the Lord; "I will set him in the safety for which he yearns."
12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.
12:7
You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.

The scripture for the day to the right, Psalms 12:5-7 gives hope during bad times. David can not trust any man for hope. Hope lies in God. David is most concerned about about the oppression of the needy, for those are the worst of times. Today's society is most concerned with the lack of things: money, cable TV, cars, etc. Times will be worsened when man condemns those for their lack. God will surely punish proud men.

We live in a time when men are held to the highest regard when they have the most stuff: cars, houses, etc. Daily on MTV the "Cribs" of celebrities are hailed as the penultimate goal. Marble and gold showers, 15 cars in the garage, all while the poor are scoffed at. Men and women starve in our backyards, and die in Africa from AIDS, and we do so little. Thankfully we have a God who will punish those and grant relief to those who suffer. My suffering pales in comparison to those, God has given me abundance and I pray that I can use my little wealth tho help the less fortunate.

Blessings! Pray for Lauren, and others who suffer.
