A daily diary of my walk with God. I am looking for other Christians who want to share testimony, deeds, and miracles they have experienced. Please send me your prayer requests and testimonies about answered prayers!

Name:
Location: Oceanside, CA, United States

You could describe me with the 5 C's: ~Christian,Conservative, Compassionate, Capitalist, Constitutionalist. I am a broken man, in more ways than one; I am a sinner and beg for forgiveness daily, and I, somewhat like Paul, have a thorn in my side (2 Cor 12:7), it reminds me daily that I must ask for God's grace, mercy and strength.

I have just printed off the scripture refences to the word heaven. As you can imagine it is lengthy, with 503 references it is going to be long. I have also printed the Greek and Hebrew words that the word heaven is translated from.

I will look these over and try to put some coherent notes together. I have to commend crosswalk.com for their study tools. I have linked a search engine to the right and use that for pulling scripture up. Thanks!

My wife asked me last night about what I thought Heaven would be like. This was prompted by a movie we watched last night, A Walk to Remember. A touching story by Nicholas Sparks about a young Christian woman who befriends an out of control young man. Her faithfulness , kindness, and life turned his life around.

As you might have guessed she passes on following a bout with leukemia. In the time she has left she and the young man get married. This is where my wife's question comes in to play. She wanted to know if we would know each other in heaven. And what would happen if a spouse remarries after the untimely passing of the other spouse. These are very fair questions, and one I want to explore over the next few days/weeks.

I think the place to start is with a word study on heaven. First a search on the link to the right, at Crosswalk, reveal that the word shows up 503 times, 266 times in the Old Testament and 237 times in the New Testament.
