This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
The Bible is God's word. We are given the Word in order that we can know God. Try as I might to meditate, read and pray in the morning, I need to do more. To reflect first thing in the morning and last thing at night fixes my mind on what is right and Holy. In an age where we are bombarded by negative images on television- be it foul language, nudity, or violence- it is a comfort to fix your eyes upon Jesus.
I get a profound sense of peace when I practice this. I am however human. I get caught up in the moment, and get busy and forget what is important. All things are impossible with Him- Himpossible!!! Success will be derived from daily reading (observing) and it (success) will follow. God does not make promises and then not follow through on them, they may, however, be in His time-not ours.
Prayer: Lord give me the strength and conviction to read and pray, not just in the morning but at night too. Reveal your word to me in the scriptures that Your word will flow from my mouth. My actions are grounded in You, and show the world that You are a mighty God!
