Name:
Location: Oceanside, CA, United States

You could describe me with the 5 C's: ~Christian,Conservative, Compassionate, Capitalist, Constitutionalist. I am a broken man, in more ways than one; I am a sinner and beg for forgiveness daily, and I, somewhat like Paul, have a thorn in my side (2 Cor 12:7), it reminds me daily that I must ask for God's grace, mercy and strength.

Matthew 20:28
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

The Lord came to serve us. To give us the gift of eternal salvation. He was not to be waited upon hand and foot as an earthly king. He gave His life for us that we might not perish. He has paid my debt for sin.

It is especially appropriate to remember this at this time of year. The Reason for the Season is Jesus.

Prayer: Lord I am a sinner. Thank you for coming to the earth and becoming a man, serving and ministering to others, in humility healing others. Thank you for suffering the ultimate pain and death. Thank you for rising from the dead and offering me, a sinner, the gift of eternal life. Forgive me of my sins, and continue to heal me and show me the errors of my life that I might repent.

Psalms 143:8-9
8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You. 9 Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.

What a great privilege it is to begin the morning in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. Reflecting upon the scriptures, and praying to God for His direction for the day.

He is the One to comfort us, instruct us, and lead us.

Prayer:Heavenly Father thank you for this wonderful day. Guide me in this day to do your Will. Be my Teacher, and comfort me and my family Lord. Thank you for your loving kindness and reproof.

Psalms 127:1-2

1 A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.

The authorship is of Solomon, and he was probably building the temple. The walls are all built by man. Man can create the design, hammer the nails, and erect the walls. It is God that blesses the temple, or house. His divine blessings separate the temple from the tower (as in Babel).

We must remember that it is God who creates the home. His love and the love of the household make the home. Without Him we have no house, temple, etc. We work in vain when the effort is wasted upon "stuff". Time is a precious commodity to be used with God's direction. It profits a man nothing if he has riches, but no love and spirit.

Prayer: Thank you lord for the home that you have provided. Bless this house that we might increase your blessings on those around us. May our work be fruitful for You.
